What to see around here
The area of Lake Trasimeno, an area suspended between Umbria and Tuscany, stands out for
the extreme variety of the landscape, for the innumerable shades of green, for the hills
rounded shapes that frame the mirror of the lake. For territorial and cultural continuity
the Trasimeno is closely linked to the nearby Valdichiana, with the famous Cortona, a alla
Val d'Orcia, between the provinces of Siena and Arezzo, and the areas of Orvieto, Corciano, Perugia
and Assisi.
IN THE AREA
There are some of the most beautiful villages in Umbria: directly overlooking the banks of the
Lake Trasimeno are Passignano and Castiglione; numerous other villages perched on the
the surrounding hills are home to pearls of ancient Etruscan, Romanesque and Renaissance past.
If you are passionate about hiking and nature you can organize yourself for birdwatching, or for
the circumnavigation of the lake by bicycle.

The wine areas of the Trasimeno Hills are nearby.
All the major historic centers of Umbria can be reached for day trips:
